Bosentas Tablets — Bosentan 62.5 mg (20 Tablets) Cipla

Bosentas is prescribed by a cardiologist or rheumatologist for the treatment of patients with the following pathologies:

• 🔹 Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH): To improve clinical status and increase physical activity (in patients with WHO functional class II–IV).
• 🔹 Systemic Sclerosis: To reduce the frequency of new digital ulcers (finger tip ulcers) in patients with ongoing progression of this complication.

Sales Form: 1 pack contains 2 blisters of 10 tablets (20 tablets of 62.5 mg in total).

⚠️ INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Dosage Regimen: The starting dose is usually 62.5 mg twice daily (morning and evening). After 4 weeks of treatment, the doctor may increase the dose to a maintenance level (usually 125 mg twice daily).
• Administration: Tablets are taken orally, swallowed whole with water, regardless of food intake.
• Liver Monitoring: Liver enzyme levels (ALT/AST) must be checked before starting therapy and monthly during treatment.
• Storage: At temperatures not exceeding 30°C in a place protected from moisture.

• ⛔ Pregnancy: The drug is highly teratogenic. It is strictly contraindicated in pregnant women. Women must use reliable contraception (hormonal contraceptives may be less effective when taking bosentan).
• ⛔ Liver Impairment: Contraindicated in moderate to severe hepatic impairment.
• ⛔ Drug Interaction: Do not take concurrently with cyclosporine A and glibenclamide.
• Hypersensitivity to bosentan or the drug components.

Treatment requires regular medical supervision. Possible effects:

• 🧪 Liver: Elevation of liver transaminases (requires immediate consultation with a doctor).
• 💧 Edema: Fluid retention, swelling of the lower extremities.
• 🩸 Blood: Decreased hemoglobin levels (anemia) — complete blood count monitoring is necessary.
• 🧠 General: Headache, flushing, nasal congestion.
• 🤢 Gastrointestinal: Dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhea.
