Rilutek 50 — Riluzole 50 mg (56 Tablets)

Rilutek 50 mg is used in neurology for the following indications:

• 🔹 Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS): To extend life or delay the time to mechanical ventilation.
• 🔹 Motor Neuron Disease: As part of complex therapy to slow degenerative processes in nerve tissue.

Sales Form: 1 pack contains 56 tablets of 50 mg (intended for 28 days of use).

⚠️ INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Dosage Regimen: The standard dosage is 100 mg per day (1 tablet of 50 mg every 12 hours).
• Method: Tablets are taken orally on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). This is necessary for optimal absorption of the drug.
• Liver Monitoring: Regular monitoring of liver enzyme levels (ALT, AST) is mandatory during Rilutek intake, especially in the first months of therapy.
• Storage: Store in a light-protected place at temperatures up to 25°C.

• ⛔ Liver Disease: Active liver disease or elevation of transaminase levels (ALT/AST) to more than 3 times the upper limit of normal.
• ⛔ Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: The drug is contraindicated throughout pregnancy and during lactation.
• ⛔ Age: Not recommended for children due to a lack of safety and efficacy data.
• ⛔ Individual Sensitivity: Allergy to riluzole or any excipients of the drug.

Most patients tolerate Rilutek well; however, the following side effects may occur:

• 🤢 GI Tract: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion.
• 🧪 Liver: Increased levels of liver enzymes in the blood (requires medical monitoring).
• 🥱 General Condition: Fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness.
• 💓 Heart: Tachycardia (increased heart rate).
• ⚠️ Important: If yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice) occurs, or if urine becomes dark, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor.
