U-Tryp (Ulinastatin 100,000 I.U.) is a proteolytic enzyme inhibitor used for critical care management.

Mechanism of Action ("Enzyme Blockade"):

In conditions like pancreatitis or sepsis, the body releases an excessive storm of enzymes (like trypsin and elastase) that damage healthy tissues. Ulinastatin binds to these enzymes and inhibits their activity. It effectively stops the "autodigestion" of the pancreas and reduces systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS).
