Udiliva 150 Tablets — Ursodeoxycholic Acid 150 mg (20 Tabs)

Prescribed by a gastroenterologist or hepatologist for the following conditions:

• 🔹 Gallstone Disease: Dissolution of radiolucent (cholesterol) gallstones (up to 15 mm in diameter) in patients with a functioning gallbladder.
• 🔹 Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC): First-line treatment for PBC in the absence of decompensated liver cirrhosis.
• 🔹 Gastritis: Biliary reflux gastritis (bile reflux into the stomach).
• 🔹 Other liver conditions: Chronic hepatitis of various origins, biliary dyskinesia.

Sales Unit: Carton box containing 2 blister packs of 10 film-coated tablets each (150 mg strength). Total 20 tablets.

⚠️ APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

• Standard Dosage: Strictly individualized based on body weight and diagnosis (typically 10–15 mg per kg of body weight daily).
• Administration: Swallow tablets whole with plenty of water. For gallstone dissolution, the entire daily dose is usually taken once at bedtime. For liver conditions, the dose is divided into 2-3 administrations with meals.
• Duration: Dissolving gallstones may take anywhere from 6 to 24 months.
• ✋ Important: Treatment requires regular monitoring via ultrasound and liver function tests.

• ⛔ Non-functioning gallbladder: Or the presence of radio-opaque (calcified) gallstones.
• Acute inflammatory conditions of the gallbladder, biliary tract, or intestines (e.g., acute cholecystitis, cholangitis).
• Frequent episodes of biliary colic.
• Severe hepatic, renal, or pancreatic dysfunction.
• Hypersensitivity to bile acids.

Ursodeoxycholic acid is generally well tolerated. Potential side effects include:

• 💩 Gastrointestinal: Diarrhea or pasty stools (most common), nausea.
• 🔶 Liver & Biliary: Right upper quadrant abdominal pain (especially during PBC treatment), calcification of gallstones (very rare).
• 🛡️ Allergic Reactions: Urticaria (hives), skin rash (rare).
