Prescribed by oncologists/urologists for adult male patients with:

• 🔹 Prostate Cancer: Treatment of advanced (metastatic) prostate cancer in combination with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analogue therapy or surgical castration.

Sales Unit: Box containing 3 blisters of 10 tablets each (30 tablets total), 50 mg strength.

⚠️ APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

• Standard Dosage: 50 mg (one tablet) taken once daily.
• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water. Can be taken with or without food. Try to take it at the same time every day.
• Duration: Treatment is usually started at the same time as the LHRH analogue or surgical castration and is long-term.
• ✋ Missed Dose: Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet. Resume the normal schedule the next day.

• ⛔ Women and Children: Indicated for men only. Strictly contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Hypersensitivity to Bicalutamide.
• Co-administration with terfenadine, astemizole, or cisapride.
• Use with caution in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment.

Generally well-tolerated, but side effects may occur due to androgen deprivation:

• ⚠️ Hormonal: Hot flushes, breast tenderness, or breast enlargement (gynecomastia), decreased libido/impotence.
• 🤢 Gastrointestinal: Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, constipation.
• 😴 General: Asthenia (weakness), dizziness, edema.
• 🔶 Liver: Elevated liver enzymes (hepatotoxicity is possible; periodic liver function tests are recommended).
