Tofajak Ointment — Tofacitinib 2% (15 g)

Tofajak Ointment 2% is prescribed by dermatologists for the treatment of the following conditions:

• 🔹 Atopic Dermatitis: Treatment of moderate-to-severe forms in adults when traditional therapy is insufficiently effective.
• 🔹 Vitiligo: Stimulation of skin repigmentation by suppressing the immune attack on melanocytes.
• 🔹 Alopecia Areata: Stimulation of hair growth in affected areas of the scalp and body.
• 🔹 Psoriasis: Reduction of plaque area, relief of itching and inflammation in plaque psoriasis.

Sales Form: The tube contains 15 g of ointment with a tofacitinib concentration of 2%.

⚠️ INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Application Method: Apply a thin layer only to the affected areas of the skin.
• Dosage Regimen: Usually applied 2 times a day (morning and evening).
• Precautions: Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the ointment unless the hands are the area being treated. Avoid contact with mucous membranes and eyes.
• Course Duration: Determined individually by a physician depending on the disease dynamics.
• Storage: Store at temperatures up to 25°C in a dry place. Do not freeze. Keep the tube tightly closed.

• ⛔ Skin Infections: Presence of active bacterial, viral (herpes, chickenpox), or fungal infections at the site of application.
• ⛔ Pregnancy and Lactation: Use is not recommended due to lack of sufficient data on safety for the fetus and child.
• ⛔ Hypersensitivity: Allergy to tofacitinib or any inactive components of the ointment base.
• ⛔ Severe Systemic Infections: Use with caution in the presence of active tuberculosis or viral hepatitis.
• ⛔ Age: Use in children and adolescents must be strictly monitored by a physician.

The drug is generally well-tolerated as it acts locally; however, the following reactions are possible:

• 🔥 Local Reactions (most common): Mild burning, itching, redness, or tingling at the application site during the first minutes after use.
• 🧴 Skin Condition: Folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles), acne-like eruptions, or skin dryness.
• 🤕 Systemic Effects (rare): When applied to very large areas, headache or nasopharyngitis (cold symptoms) may occur.
• ⚠️ Important: If signs of a severe allergic reaction (swelling, severe rash) or signs of skin infection appear, discontinue use and consult your attending physician.
