Mounjaro KwikPen 5 — Tirzepatide 5 mg (1 Pen / 4 Doses)
Mounjaro KwikPen 5 mg (Tirzepatide) is an innovative injectable medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and effective weight reduction. Tirzepatide is the world's first dual agonist of glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptors. By simultaneously acting on two types of hormones, Mounjaro provides superior blood sugar control and promotes significant weight loss compared to previous generation drugs.
Manufacturer: Eli Lilly. The KwikPen format is a convenient multi-dose pre-filled pen designed to ensure dosing precision and ease of administration. The 5 mg dosage is typically the next step after the initial adaptation phase (2.5 mg) and allows for a more pronounced therapeutic effect.
Key Features:
- ✅ Dual Action: The synergy of GIP and GLP-1 receptors not only normalizes insulin but also effectively suppresses hunger at the level of the central nervous system.
- ✅ KwikPen Convenience: One pen contains 4 doses of 5 mg each, designed for a full month of therapy (one injection per week).
- ✅ Metabolic Control: The drug helps reduce body fat, improves lipid profiles, and lowers the burden on the cardiovascular system.
Mounjaro 5 mg is prescribed by an endocrinologist for patients with the following goals:
- 🔹 Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Long-term treatment to maintain target glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels.
- 🔹 Obesity Treatment: Weight reduction and management in adult patients with a BMI ≥30 kg/m² or ≥27 kg/m² in the presence of accompanying risk factors (diabetes, hypertension, apnea).
