Dosage and administration

Dose: One tablet (1 mg) once daily. ⚠️ CRITICAL INSTRUCTION: EMPTY STOMACH Food drastically reduces the drug's absorption. You must take X-Vir: 🚫 At least 2 hours after a meal. 🚫 And at least 2 hours before the next meal. Warning: Severe acute exacerbations of hepatitis B have been reported in patients who have discontinued anti-hepatitis B therapy.

HIV/HBV Co-infection: Do not use in patients with HIV who are not on effective antiretroviral therapy (risk of HIV resistance). Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Hypersensitivity to Entecavir.

Watch for signs of: Lactic Acidosis: A serious metabolic condition (muscle pain, difficult breathing, cold extremities). Hepatomegaly with Steatosis: Enlargement of the liver. Common: Headache, fatigue, nausea.
