Ofev 100 — Nintedanib 100 mg (60 Capsules)

Ofev 100 mg is prescribed by pulmonologists for long-term therapy of the following conditions:

• 🔹 Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF): A chronic disease in which lung tissue is replaced by scar tissue.
• 🔹 Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD): To slow the process of lung tissue scarring.
• 🔹 Systemic Sclerosis: Treatment of systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD).

Sales Form: 1 pack contains 60 soft capsules of 100 mg.

⚠️ INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Dosage Regimen: While the standard dose with good tolerability is 150 mg twice daily, when the 100 mg dosage is prescribed, the drug is taken as 1 capsule (100 mg) twice daily (morning and evening) with a 12-hour interval.
• Method: Capsules should be taken with food, swallowed whole. They must not be chewed or opened, as the contents have a bitter taste and irritate the mucous membranes.
• Liver Function Monitoring: Regular monitoring of liver enzymes (ALT, AST, bilirubin) is required before and during therapy.
• Storage: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C in a dry place.

• ⛔ Pregnancy: Nintedanib has toxic effects on the fetus. It is strictly contraindicated in pregnant women.
• ⛔ Hepatic Impairment: Severe and moderate hepatic insufficiency (Child-Pugh classes B and C).
• ⛔ Hypersensitivity: Allergy to nintedanib, peanuts, or soy.
• ⛔ Age: The drug is not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
• ⛔ Lactation: Breastfeeding should be discontinued during the treatment period.

Tolerability of the 100 mg dosage is usually higher, but the following side effects may be observed:

• 🤢 Gastrointestinal Tract: Diarrhea (most common), nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, decreased appetite.
• 🧪 Liver: Increased levels of liver transaminases in the blood.
• 🩸 Vessels and Heart: Risk of arterial thromboembolism, increased blood pressure.
• 📉 Metabolism: Weight loss.
• ⚠️ Important: If diarrhea occurs, start taking anti-diarrheal agents immediately and inform your doctor. The 100 mg dosage is often used specifically to reduce the intensity of these symptoms.
