Sorafenat (Sorafenib) 200 mg Tablets (120 Count)
Sorafenat is a targeted therapy medication used to treat kidney, liver, and thyroid cancers. Active ingredient: Sorafenib (200 mg).
Manufacturer: Natco Pharma (India). A generic equivalent of Nexavar.
Mechanism of Action:
Sorafenat is a multikinase inhibitor. It stops the tumor from growing by blocking the enzymes needed for cell division and by cutting off the blood supply (anti-angiogenesis) that feeds the cancer cells.

Indicated for the treatment of:
- Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC): Unresectable liver cancer.
- Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC): Advanced kidney cancer.
- Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC): Progressive, radioiodine-refractory thyroid cancer.
Strength: 200 mg per tablet.
Standard Dosage: 800 mg daily.
- Take 2 tablets in the morning.
- Take 2 tablets in the evening.
⚠️ Administration Instruction:
Take on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). A high-fat meal can reduce the drug's effectiveness. Swallow tablets whole with water.
- Cardiac ischemia or infarction history.
- Uncontrolled Hypertension.
- Active bleeding.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding (Teratogenic).
- Major surgery (Stop treatment 2 weeks prior to allow wound healing).
The most common and bothersome side effect is Hand-Foot Skin Reaction (HFSR):
Redness, pain, and blisters on palms and soles. Use thick moisturizing creams and wear comfortable shoes to manage this.
Other side effects:
- Diarrhea.
- Hypertension (High blood pressure).
- Hair thinning (Alopecia).
