Taxeleon (Paclitaxel) 300 mg/50 ml Injection Vial

Indicated for high-dose chemotherapy regimens:

• Ovarian Cancer: First-line and subsequent therapy.
• Breast Cancer: Metastatic disease or adjuvant treatment.
• Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
• Kaposi's Sarcoma.

Vial Strength: 300 mg (50 ml).

Must be diluted prior to infusion. Final concentration should be between 0.3 and 1.2 mg/ml.

⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

• 🚫 NON-PVC Equipment: Do NOT use standard PVC tubing or bags. The solvent (Cremophor EL) leaches plasticizers. Use glass or polyolefin containers.
• ⚙️ In-line Filter: Administer through a 0.22-micron filter to catch potential precipitates.
• 💉 Mandatory Pre-medication: Corticosteroids and antihistamines must be given prior to infusion to prevent hypersensitivity reactions.

• Baseline Neutropenia (Neutrophil count < 1,500/mm³).
• Severe hypersensitivity to Paclitaxel or polyoxyl 35 castor oil.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Concurrent serious infections.

Common adverse reactions:

• Alopecia: Almost universal hair loss (reversible).
• Myalgia/Arthralgia: Severe muscle and joint pain occurring 2-3 days post-treatment.
• Neuropathy: Numbness and tingling in extremities.
• Hypersensitivity reactions (flushing, dyspnea).
