Imbruvica 140 — Ibrutinib 140 mg (120 Capsules)
Imbruvica (Ibrutinib) is an innovative targeted medication, the first-in-class Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor. It has revolutionized the treatment of several hematologic malignancies. The mechanism of action of ibrutinib involves blocking the BTK protein, which is essential for malignant B-cells to grow, survive, and proliferate. By blocking this pathway, the drug stops tumor progression without exerting the toxic effects characteristic of standard chemotherapy.
Manufacturer: Janssen / Pharmacyclics. Imbruvica allows patients with serious forms of blood cancer to achieve long-term remission with just one dose a day, significantly improving the prognosis even in relapsed forms of the disease.
Key Features:
- ✅ High Selectivity: Specifically targets tumor B-lymphocytes, minimizing damage to healthy cells.
- ✅ Unprecedented Efficacy: The gold standard for the therapy of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, effective even in the presence of unfavorable genetic mutations (e.g., 17p deletion).
- ✅ Simplicity of Therapy: Oral administration of capsules once daily eliminates the need for long-term infusions.
Imbruvica is used for the treatment of adult patients with the following blood disorders:
- 🔹 Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) / Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL): Including previously untreated patients and patients with relapse.
