Oxalion 100 mg (Oxaliplatin) Injection

Indicated for the treatment of adults via intravenous infusion:

• 🎗️ Metastatic Colorectal Cancer: First-line treatment for advanced disease.
• 🛡️ Adjuvant Treatment of Stage III Colon Cancer: For patients who have undergone complete resection of the primary tumor.

Packaging: Single Dose Vial containing 100 mg of Oxaliplatin.

⚠️ ADMINISTRATION PROTOCOL:

• 💉 Method: Intravenous (IV) infusion only, over 2 to 6 hours.
• 🧪 Dilution: Must be diluted in 5% Dextrose (Glucose) injection ONLY.
• 🚫 CRITICAL WARNING: DO NOT mix with Normal Saline (0.9% NaCl) or any chloride-containing solutions. Incompatibility causes precipitation and degradation.
• 📉 Dosage: Typically 85 mg/m² of body surface area, administered every 2 weeks.

• Known hypersensitivity to oxaliplatin or other platinum compounds.
• Severe renal impairment.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Pre-existing severe peripheral sensitive neuropathy.

Patients must be warned about acute neurosensory toxicity:

• ❄️ Cold-Triggered Neuropathy: Exposure to cold (drinks, air, surfaces) can cause painful paresthesia and pharyngolaryngeal dysesthesia (feeling of inability to breathe). Avoid cold!
• 🩸 Bone Marrow Suppression: Neutropenia, Thrombocytopenia, Anemia.
• 🤢 Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomatitis.
