Authenticity check — Natco
How to verify that the medicine is genuine and not counterfeit.
Verification guide for Regonat
To verify the authenticity of products manufactured by Natco Pharma Ltd. (India), check your package against the following 7 essential security steps.
1. Embossed Lettering & Logo Texture
Run your fingertips over the front face of the carton box. The drug name and the corporate Natco logo feature raised tactile embossing. Both the text and logo elements must feel distinctly raised to the touch rather than flatly printed.
2. Security QR Code Scanning
A dedicated QR code is printed on the security sticker. Open your smartphone camera and scan the code. Follow the generated link to access the authentication system page confirming whether the batch is genuine.
3. Scratch-Off Security Code
Adjacent to the QR code on the sticker is a silver protective coating. Gently scratch it off with a coin to reveal a unique security code. If prompted by the verification webpage, type in the revealed code manually.
4. Branded Holographic Seal
A branded holographic seal featuring the Natco logo is affixed over the box flap. Rotate the box under direct light: the hologram surface should shift colors dynamically and display multi-dimensional depth.
5. Batch Number & Date Matching
The carton flap displays three key details: Batch Number (Batch No.), Manufacturing Date (Mfg. Date), and Expiration Date (Exp. Date). Take out the inner bottle or blister pack: all parameters printed inside must match the outer carton 100% accurately.
6. Tamper-Evident Ring & Protective Membrane
The plastic bottle cap is connected to a safety ring that breaks with a distinct snap upon initial opening. Beneath the cap, the bottle neck is hermetically sealed with a protective foil membrane. Do not take the medication if the ring or seal is damaged.
7. Direct Quality Assurance Check
If you have any doubts regarding product authenticity, submit a formal request to Natco Quality Assurance. Take clear photos of all box sides showing the Batch No. and email them to feedback@natcopharma.co.in or info@natcopharma.co.in (official portal: natcopharma.co.in).
